As we are getting closer and closer to the Condition.2015 Conservation and Digitization Conference, we would like to give you an overview of some projects which will be discussed in May.

We start with two projects of National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk, this week – 3D digitization of folk fishing boats and next week – documentation of Gdańsk Crane.

In 2014 National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk carried out a project funded by Polish Government Programme Kultura+, priority digitization.

Within the project one of major activities was the digitization of collection of traditional folk fishing boats and vessels from Polish coast (especially Hel Peninsula). After a public tender, Gzowski & Gzowski Architects Company sc executed the task and created the outcome products i.e. pdf documentation with theoretical calculations and drawings as well as 3D models (.obj format and simplified 3D pdf format).

Digitization project will be presented during third day of the CONDITION.2015 Conservation and Digitization Conference (21 May, detailed programme can be found here) by Marcin Kulesza (Gzowski & Gzowski Architects Company sc).

Below you find links to the documentation of 14 vessels which were digitized. Due to the fact that each documentation is a standalone document, you will quickly notice that first part of documents (description of project, company and methods and so on) is in most cases almost the same in all the pdfs.
