Due to the fact CONDITION.2015 Conference will be divided into two parts: conservation and digitization:
- the first part focused on conservation topics will take place between 19th -20th May 2015 at the Granaries, located on Ołowianka 9-13 Street (opposite to the Maritime Culture Centre);
- the second part focused on digitization topics will take place between 21st-22nd May 2015 at Maritime Culture Centre in Gdańsk, located on Tokarska 21-25 Street.
The Maritime Culture Centre is a modern building with unique architecture, splendidly integrated into the architectural style of Długie Pobrzeże and Rybackie Pobrzeże streets. This place is surrounded by the most famous historic monuments of the city of Gdańsk and adjacent to one of them – the Crane.
It’s situated in the heart of the former Gdańsk port, by the Motława River: up to 15 minutes walking distance from Train Station, 30 minutes by car from the airport, 5 minutes walking distance from Długa Street – the heart of Gdańsk Old Town.
The Granaries – headquarters of National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk with the main exhibitions and collections is situated in the historical complex of Granaries at Ołowianka Island. There is a ferry “Motława” which runs between Maritime Culture Centre and Granaries on Ołowianka Island (Tuesday – Sunday) every 15 minutes (between 10:00 – 16:05).
